Mattress prices too good to be true? They just may be…

December 11th, 2009

While there are many legitimate mattress retailers out there, there are also many others who are just looking to make a quick buck even if it means selling inferior produts that will put your healt at risk.

Buying a mattress is a very important decision.  It may directly impact your health and determines how you will feel the rest of the day.  So next time when you go out there shopping for a mattress, you owe it to you and your loved ones to make sure you are not buying mattresses that are sold as “new” when in reality they are re-builts or re-furbished.  How can you tell?  We’ll discuss this on a separate article (“Is it new or not?”).

These mattresses may look new on the outside, but inside there may just be a series of hidden dangers.  Take a look at this Dateline MSNBC video here in which a mattress store owner is confronted about the sale of bed bug infected mattresses at his store.

The second video is of another incident in Chicago with another mattress retailer. Vegas is no different, except bigger cities like LA, New York, or Chicago are more aggressive when it comes to combating such retailers who put consumers at risk.
